Have you heard of the Rebozo technique? This technique that originated in Mexico is used for soothing, embracing and relaxing pregnant and birthing mothers, & for preventing and solving childbirth difficulties. It is a gentle sifting technique, like a rhythmic jiggle, done during pregnancy, birth and even postpartum for a number of reasons, including labor pain management and moving the baby down the birth canal. Rebozo technique also has tremendous benefits in challenging births — especially in cases of fetal malpositioning.

Sanctum parents are familiar with the Rebozo, as we use it here extensively! Now, we are excited to be hosting a 2-day, hands-on, advanced skills workshop with Mexican midwife Naoli Vinaver to teach birth workers how to help mammas during their labor and birth, especially those having a challenging birth.
